Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Bath Uses sound vibrations to promote relaxation and self-healing. It gifts you with equilibrium and peace for your mind, body and soul-nurturing both your physical and emotional well-being. The calming sounds are believed to reduce stress, enhance mental clarity and improve sleep.
Sound healing has been practised for millennia across cultures, providing a safe and effective way to enhance one’s wellness. While it is a non-invasive and gentle therapy, we always recommend consultation with your doctor or health adviser before participating.
How Sound Bath Works
Sound Bath involves using instruments, e.g. crystal bowls, gongs, drums, chimes. They are each tuned to specific frequencies, creating healing vibrations. These vibrations resonate with your cellular body - switching on your nervous system’s repair mode; bathing, saturating and offering the same benefits as meditation, such as relaxation, stress relief, and emotional release.
Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous Systems The Sympathetic Nervous system is regarded as the regulator for the body’s “fight or flight” response. It adjusts the heart rate and energy expenditure when triggered during times of stress, danger or intense activity. The Parasympathetic nervous system provides the opposite “rest-and-digest” response, calming the body down, slowing the heart rate and creating conditions that are optimum for digestion and conservation of energy. It is dominant during relaxed body states and normal body function. The 2 opposing systems work in maintaining balance, with the Sympathetic acting as the accelerator and the Parasympathetic acting as the decelerator. Sound Bath can be one of the relaxing activities used to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. Deep breathing, meditation, yoga and activities like chanting, singing or having a massage stimulates the vagus nerve and activates the body’s “rest and digest” response. Healthy lifestyle, sufficient sleep and activities that promote overall physical & mental wellness will contribute to a more balanced nervous system.
Pregnancy Sound therapy offers positive benefits for expectant mothers. If you're pregnant, please discuss with your doctor before participating in Sound Bath therapy. Consider modifications like sitting or lying further away from the crystal bowls to reduce the intensity of the vibrations.
Heart Conditions If you have a history of heart conditions or have a pacemaker, it's essential to consult your doctor before attending a sound bath session, especially one that involves strong vibrations, such as a gong bath. These vibrations could affect the pacemaker or create discomfort for those with certain heart issues.
Metal Plates or Implants If you have metal implants like pins or plates, we recommend getting advice from a medical professional beforehand.
Personal Comfort Ultimately, you know your body best. If at any point you feel uncomfortable during a session, it's okay to stop or take a break.
We want you to leave our Studio after your Sound Bath session with a sense of Calm, Balance and Harmony….
